Discovery-Applied Research & Extension for Trans/Inter-Disciplinary Opportunities (DARE TO) call for Proposals
In service of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the Philippines in a time of the K to 12 Transition Period, the Commission on Higher Education seeks to jumpstart a wave of research innovations and advances with the “Discovery-Applied Research & Extension for Trans/Inter-Disciplinary Opportunities,” also known as “DARE TO”.
The DARE TO grant is a fifteen million (PhP 15,000,000) grant-in-aid to allow HEIs to do research and extension work across a variety of different disciplines, while building partnerships with other schools and other organizations.
More than just “research-for-its-sake,” the goal of the grant is to launch fifty (50) of the best, brightest, boldest ideas that can reshape the Philippines, in this once-in-a-generation time in Philippine higher education. These ideas must lead to high-impact research publications, patents, innovative products and services, that will impact on our nation’s productivity and prosperity.
We believe this grant to be a means to build stronger partnerships between the academe, industry, civil society, and the public sector. Therefore, we invite all HEIs to submit their proposals and band together with other HEIs. We hope to see the brightest minds in higher education seize the opportunity. We are confident that together, we can make great strides and shape our nation’s future.
Deadline for all submissions is on 21 October 2016. Click the link below to learn more.
