The study of Dr. Ibana focuses on the immune-suppression mechanism in the female genital tract that can lead to the design of drugs that can treat cancer.

Dr. Dela Santa’s research project highlights the restructuring and strengthening of Philippine Tourism via the Tourism Act of 2009. The study analyzes the macro-level implementation of the Act that is important in the in-depth studies of the new policies.

The team of Mr. Carandang and Mr. Daway designed the Gaia dam as part of their undergraduate thesis. Low-cost in production, eco-friendly, easy to build, and as effective as its concrete counterpart, the Gaia dam also promotes plant growth.

After a very successful collaboration involving the Population Institute of the UP Diliman College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, UP Diliman, with its mandate to lead as a public service university, and UNICEF decided to enter into a broader engagement that aimed at improving the institutional capacities of government agencies, not just with regard to social development and disaster preparedness, but also in addressing issues such as public financial management.
